Aside from lousy schedules and imperfect deadlines, my greatest satisfaction laid widely upon the joy I brought to my freelance fellows. And last weekend I had a meeting with my translation’s team member, Poppy and Dani. It was in Bakmi GM Melawai, a pretty coincident choice that eventually accommodated every one’s. Poppy has her weekly session in Effata Church located just across the venue, while Dani’s home is in around Kebayoran. Me? Been a long time never had bakmi special GM…

So there we were, Poppy and I, before Dani arrived, enjoying our bowl of noodle and chatting around. She told me her reason of resigning her work in BII card center and eagerly wanted to focus on this translation project. Conversely, I had had this notion to give up making contribution even only for some chapters. I decided to quit reducing my nap. I need this unproductive time to really relax and recharge my body and mind, I said. So it seemed that we’re clicked alright in this matter.

My friend Poppy has changed a lot since the last time I mingled with her. She used to be a leading vocalist in a Cranberries’ cover-version band. She was so Dolores, and I admired her. She’s one of a kind; rather lived in the way she believed in, converted to Christian, and married to an old musician guy. That’s her choice. I caught no sign of regretting at all. Now as a mother of three, my friend turned into a very thoughtful woman with responsibility to bring up hers for a better education. She cares nothing but her family. By doing this translation in her home then she can manage to take care of her hubby and the children. This project has enabled her to fulfill her needs.

Jes like what did occur to Dani as well. I think this project had endorsed her to achieve more in her life. She got a laptop already, that’s something. Wow, I’m so proud to be able to help others to get whatever they wish to have! Aside from our pleasurable moment when we get together, having yum-yum lunch or dinner, discussing more or less important stuff and all. By having this project then Dani and I step up to wisely encrave our reason to meaning our meetings every time.
